Aretha Franklin leads 2018 Memphis Music Hall of Fame inductees

In an announcement that should surprise no one, Aretha Franklin is set to be inducted into the Memphis Music Hall of Fame.

The Queen of Soul — who was born in Memphis in 1942, and died last month at the age of 76 — leads this year’s list of inductees, which also includes The Box Tops, O’Landa Draper, Memphis rappers 8Ball & MJG, R&B singer-songwriter Eddie Floyd and rockabilly pioneers The Rock and Roll Trio.
