Courage has many faces. But there’s almost nothing more inspiring, and more heartbreaking, than to see a child battling a life-threatening illness. This video has gone viral and you need to see it. Get a tissue because it will tear at your heart and you will cry. But it will also uplift your soul. Young cancer patients at Seattle’s Children’s Hospital got together with a 22-year-old hockey player who is also fighting leukemia, and they made a music video to a pop hit by Kelly Clarkson called “Stronger”. To see the hope, strength, and joy in these precious young faces is unbelievable. And the nurses and healthcare workers who sang and danced in the video are all heroes and angels and they deserve our highest respect. Like many adults, I’ve fought my own battle with cancer. It took all the courage I have. But I am awestruck and genuinely humbled when I look into these faces and see such a wonderful light. You will be too.
