Bring the whole family and enjoy a mostly Free festival about birds and their habitats.  Begin the Festival listening to keynote speaker Paul Bannick at 7:00 PM on September 7th at the Edmonds Plaza Room, 650 Main Street, Edmonds.  Paul leads you on a visual and auditory tour of Washington State seasons and life histories of owls.  See 14 owl species and look at Paul’s first released book, The Owl and The Woodpecker.  On the 8th, at the Francis Anderson Center, enjoy ongoing FREE activities that include an exhibit area of bird-related books, mingle with fellow bird enthusiasts and share your Bird Fest experiences.  Learn about Edmonds local ongoing birding activities and refresh yourself with light snacks and beverages.  Kids participate in Kids’ Activities on Saturday from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM and play games, listen to stories, see an owl pellet dissection and enjoy bird craft activities.  Partake of Marsh Interpretive activities and all kinds of FREE visually inspired lectures.  See birds in the wild on a wide variety of pleasurable guided trail walks, tours, a Puget Sound Birding Cruise, and visit a botanical garden to name a few.  www.pugetsoundbirdfest.com or 425.771.0227.
