George Bernard Shaw’s comedy depicts the unlikely relationship between a Cockney flower seller and a stuffy phonetics professor. After meeting the professor, Eliza is inspired to learn the language of a lady. The professor is challenged by the idea and takes her on as a student to teach her then test her within high society gatherings. What will Eliza do after the professor is done with his experiment with her?
