Dazzle your eyes with high-definition images from NASA’s exploration of the solar system and listen to Women of the Seattle Symphony Chorale and the Seattle Symphony perform.  Enjoy a Pre-Concert Lecture about “Music and Outer Space” on July 12th & 14th, from Dr.  Al Weltzien, Professor of English at the University of Montana Western.  Gustav Holst’s The Planets orchestral music, fills the evening while state-of-the-art, high definition images from NASA project on the big screen above the Orchestra.  Prior to World War I, Holst became interested in astrology and Roman mythology.  Holst created music The Planets which is both lively, brash and rhythmic, named after our planets;  Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn and Uranus.  Listen to music from Gyorgy Ligeti; Atmospheres and R.
