Warm up in a tropical paradise in Seattle in the wintertime? Delight yourself in the Pacific Science Center’s Tropical Butterfly House; a warm, sunny place where colorful butterflies are active 365 days a year. 500 tropical butterflies are imported into this 4,000 square foot paradise from South and Central America, Africa and Asia from sustainable rainforest farms. In this exhibit, supplemental heat, light and humidity are provided to sustain a tropical ecosystem within the grey, cool, drizzly days of our Pacific Northwest.
