Celebrate the return of the Salmon with a full day of entertainment, food, the arts and a parade under a canopy of the majestic Cascade Mountains. Partake in hands-on activities, interactive exhibits, wildlife “edu-tainment”, music, art and enjoy meaningful cultural visits with Native Americans in their tribal village. Stroll through arts & crafts, natural pictures in chalk, a costume parade of birds, insects, wolves that fly, hop, swim or walk down the parade route. Express yourself with salmon art with glue, glitter and paints as professional artists help you find your creative side. Stroll through beautiful gardens as local alternative high school students demonstrate horticulture practices. Kids participate in a discovery hunt of natural resources for a prize. See fresh water fish up close. Refresh yourself with delicious foods. Make a gyo taku, a Japanese fish rubbing. Japanese fisherman once recorded their catch of the day with this colorful lasting art. Walk along Icicle Creek where the salmon begins their life cycle from spawn and back. Get your exercise in the Salmon run of 10K, 5K walk or Kids run in the small fry race.
