MJ Kim/MPL Communications Ltd.Billboard has launched the 2013 edition of its annual Mid-Year Music Awards, and is asking fans to vote for their favorite artists and events in a variety of categories. A handful of veteran acts have been singled out with nominations, including Paul McCartney, David Bowie and Prince.
McCartney has received a nod for the Best Festival Performance honor, thanks to his recent set at Bonnaroo. As for Bowie, he's in the running for the Coolest Marketing Stunt prize for secretly recording his latest album, The Next Day. Prince, meanwhile, scored a Best Televised Performance nomination for his recent appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
Other categories on which you can vote include First Half MVP, Favorite #1 Hot 100 Song, Favorite #1 Billboard 200 Album, Best Style, Best Comeback, Best Music Reality Show, Most Overrated Artist and Most Disappointing of 2013.
Cast your votes now at Billboard.com. Most categories also allow fans to write in a candidate. The publication will reveal the winners at the beginning of July.
