Loveless Fascination was produced by longtime Foreigner bassist Jeff Pilson, who also was a member of Dio and Dokken. Pilson was the main songwriter on the new Starship album, and helped contribute a harder edge to the band's sound.
The album marks the beginning of a new label deal Starship has signed with Loud & Proud Records.
Frontman Mickey Thomas says of the long-in-the-works project, "It's been a long time coming. With each passing year, the bar was raised higher and higher for this album. I'd be ***** if I didn't tell you the expectations caused me a few sleepless nights."
The singer adds, "Finally…everything fell into place. The right management came along, the right songs appeared, the perfect producer and finally the label I hoped for. Now the wait is over. Please PLAY IT LOUD!!"
