RestoretheShoreSong.orgA star-studded group of New Jersey-based musicians, including bassist Garry Tallent of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band, appear on a new single that's raising money for victims of Hurricane Sandy, which ravaged the Jersey shore last year. "Restore the Shore" is an inspiring anthem written and featuring vocals by local singer/songwriter Lisa Bouchelle.
Among the many other artists who contributed to the track are Southside Johnny Lyon, Bon Jovi touring guitarist Bobby Bandiera, Gary US Bonds, ex-Styx multi-instrumentalist Glen Burtnik, Tokens singer Jay Siegel, Steve Forbert and Blues Traveler's John Popper. The song was mixed by Grammy-winning studio whiz Michael Barbiero, whose resume includes Guns N' Roses' Appetite for Destruction, as well as recordings by John Lennon, Peter Frampton and many others.
"Restore the Shore" is available for purchase now at RestoretheShoreSong.org and iTunes. Proceeds will go toward the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund, a charity that's chaired by New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie's wife, Mary Pat.
