The 66-year-old musician has posted a series of messages on BrianMay.com and his Twitter account giving fans updates about how he's doing following the operation.
After the procedure on Tuesday, May wrote, "I'm THROUGH !!! With a shiny new knee. This no walk in the park (!) but for 1st time in months I feel optimistic and free of that OLD pain."
The next day, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer reported that he felt "a huge lift in spirits" after having "been in pain for a long time." He also thanked everyone who sent him get-well messages.
On Friday, May revealed that he was "in going-home-from-hospital ****, having been skillfully transformed into a Man of Steel." The message was accompanied by a photo of Brian in his hospital bed holding up what appears to be a small comic book. The rocker then confirmed in a post today that he was home from the hospital and was "continuing knee recovery."
