NokiaTheatreLALive.comStevie Wonder has a special treat for fans who attend the 2013 edition of his annual House Full of Toys benefit concert, which takes place December 21 at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles. RollingStone.com reports that the Motown legend announced at a press conference Tuesday that he plans to play his entire classic 1976 album Songs in the Key of Life at the holiday fundraiser.
During the press event, Stevie sang "Sir Duke," one of the hits featured on the album, which was released as a double-LP in September of 1976. Other memorable tunes on the collection include "Isn't She Lovely" and "I Wish." The benefit will mark the first time that the 63-year-old singer/songwriter will play the full Songs in the Key of Life in concert.
The 18th annual House Full of Toys event also will feature a variety of a number of as-yet-unannounced guest performers. The benefit raises money for young people in need.
According to AXS.com, tickets for the bash will go on sale starting Friday at 10 a.m. PT. Prices run from $49.50 to $149.50.
