Image Courtesy Rolling Stones via TwitterIt's a case of "he said/she said" -- pop starlet Katy Perry claimed in a recent radio interview that Mick Jagger hit on her when she was about 18 years old, but the Rolling Stones frontman has strongly denied her accusations.
Perry spoke to Australia's NovaFM about the fact that before she became famous, she sang backup on Jagger's song "Old Habits Die Hard," which he recorded for the 2004 movie Alfie. She then casually mentioned that she had dinner once with him, and that he came on to her. The 29-year-old singer added, though, that "since then, he's been very kind," and mentioned that the two had duetted on stage during The Stones' tour earlier this year.
Now, Jagger's rep says in a statement, "Mick Jagger categorically denies that he has ever made a pass at Katy Perry...Perhaps she is confusing him with someone else."
During her radio interview, Perry also was asked about how she handled turning down a famous rock star like Jagger.
"Well, you bring a friend and then they [have *** with] them," she laughed. "You sacrifice your friend!"
