Photo: Eleanor StillsFans who tune in to the second-season finale of the public television series Front and Center next week will see highlights from the first-ever live performance by Stephen Stills' new blues-rock supergroup, The Rides. The show, which premieres November 16, features footage of the band's concert this past August 28 at the famous New York City club The Iridium. Check local listings for details of airings.
The program captured The Rides, whose lineup also includes guitar whiz Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Electric Flag keyboardist Barry Goldberg, running through tunes from their recently released debut album, Can't Get Enough. The group also played some songs from the respective members back catalogs, including Stills' Buffalo Springfield classic "For What It's Worth."
"The energy in that intimate space felt so powerful and invigorating," The Rides said about the show in a joint statement. "It was an honor to play there and we're thrilled it was captured on film."
You can check out a couple of video clips from The Rides' Front and Center appearance now on the program's official YouTube channel.
