The inaugural Grammy Music Festival at Sea will set sail from Miami on November 4 and make stops in Grand Bahama Island and Nassau before returning to port on November 8.
Other confirmed performers for the event, which is subtitled "Women Who Rock," include Indigo Girls, Emmylou Harris, Shawn Colvin, Estelle and Skylar Grey, while additional artists will be added to the lineup during the year. In additional to a variety of concerts, the cruise will feature Q&A sessions with the musicians and other celebrity panelists, as well as offering fans photo opportunities with some of the participating artists.
Heart's Ann Wilson isn't aware of too many details about the event yet, but she shared what she does know with ABC News Radio.
"We play a show before the ship takes off and then we do another one when the ship comes back, and we ride along," she reports. "So, that'll be interesting. I don't really exactly know what it means except that we're going to go on a cruise, right now. And, it sounds great."
Besides the music-related entertainment, the ocean liner offers a wide variety of attractions and activities, including bars, restaurants, lounges, hot tubs, a spa and fitness center, a bowling alley and a rock-climbing wall.
A pre-sale sign-up for the Grammy Music Festival at Sea in under way now, while the general public can book reservations starting on February 28. You can find out more information about the cruise at GrammyFestivalAtSea.com.
