Legacy RecordingsAn ornately decorated pistol purchased by Elvis Presley in 1970 is now up for sale for 275 thousand dollars.

The gun, which is being offed by online memorabilia dealer Moments in Time, has gold and silver inlaid scroll and leaf decoration and features the figures of a bobcat, a mountain lion, a puma and other animals.  It comes with a leather case engraved with the name "Elvis."  Reportedly, Presley once gave the weapon to then-Vice President Spiro Agnew as a gift but it was returned when Agnew was under investigation for extortion in 1974.
