Columbia/LegacyArt Garfunkel has selected songs from his solo catalog and music from Simon & Garfunkel for a new retrospective called The Singer to be released August 28.  The 34-song, double-CD features cuts from Simon & Garfunkel's studio and live recordings plus tunes from 10 of Garfunkel's solo albums.  It had originally been planned for an April release.

Among the selections: "Breakaway," "I Only Have Eyes for You," "My Little Town," "(What a) Wonderful World," "A Heart in New York," "Bright Eyes," "The Sound of Silence," "Scarborough Fair/Canticle," and "Bridge Over Troubled Water."

Garfunkel has written personal notes for each track and added two brand new songs to the set, “Lena” and “Long Way Home."
