Asia's New Album, "XXX," Arrives in Stores Tuesday

Frontiers Records***, the latest studio effort from Asia, will be released on Tuesday.  The record is a follow-up to the prog-rock supergroup's 2010 album, Omega, and has been issued in conjunction with the band's 30th anniversary.  Asia recently released a video for the first single from ***, "Face on the Bridge."

A deluxe version of *** will be available that'll include two extra tracks and a bonus DVD featuring a making-of documentary, plus the "Face on the Bridge" clip and a video for the tune "Faithful."

Meanwhile, the band recently added four shows to the front end of the upcoming North American leg of their 30th anniversary tour.  The trek, which originally was slated to start on October 17 in Red Bank, New Jersey, now will launch with an October 10 concert in Quebec City, Canada.  The other new gigs are scheduled for October 12 in Montreal, October 13 in Niagara Falls, New York, and October 14 in Kingston, New York.  As previously reported, the tour is mapped out through a November 23 concert in Manistee, Michigan.  Check out OriginalAsia.com to see the band's complete list of tour dates.

Asia currently features all of its original members: ex-King Crimson singer/bassist John Wetton, founding Emerson, Lake & Palmer drummer Carl Palmer, Yes guitarist Steve Howe and Yes/former Buggles keyboardist Geoffrey Downes.
