BillyJoel.comBilly Joel has been hired as a consulting producer for an independent movie about a couple of guys who travel cross-country on motorcycles, according to Showbiz411.com.

Billy will be involved in a couple of ways. ***** oversee the soundtrack for the film -- Showbiz411 speculates that it will consist of songs from his catalog -- and will also lend his motorcycles to the project.

The project, titled American Dresser, will be partly set on Billy’s native Long Island, New York. Production begins in September.
