Two Donny Hathaway Live Albums Being Released as Single CD Today

Shout! FactoryA pair of out-of-print live albums by influential soul artist Donny Hathaway, 1972's Live and 1980's In Performance, will be issued on CD for the first time ever in the U.S. today.  The albums, which are packaged together on one disc titled Live + In Performance, include the late singer's renditions of such classic tune's as Marvin Gaye's "What's Goin' On," Carole King's "You've Got a Friend," John Lennon's "Jealous Guy" and Leon Russell's "A Song for You."

Hathaway, who **** tragically of an apparent suicide at age 33 in 1979, is perhaps best known for the two hit duets he recorded with Roberta Flack -- 1972's "Where Is the Love" and 1978's "The Closer I Get to You."
