Robert Plant Hasn't Married Collaborator Patty Griffin, Says Rep

Photo: Erika GoldringFor several months, reports circulated in the media suggesting that Robert Plant may have married to his Band of Joy collaborator Patty Griffin.  A recent interview the Led Zeppelin legend did with U.K. newspaper The Independent added fire to those rumors when Plant commented that he'd "eloped and ran off to Texas," where he's been living with Griffin.  Now, a rep for the 63-year-old Rock and Roll Hall of Famer has set the record straight on Plant's marital status.

"Robert has not married Patty Griffin," the rep tells The Hollywood Reporter, adding that his remarks to The Independent were "just referring to the fact that he's been residing in Texas."

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Plant and Griffin have been dating for more than a year and have been sharing a home in Austin.  In the Independent piece, Plant jokingly refers to the residence as a "an old crack house" that's infested with termites.

Besides working with Plant in The Band of Joy, Griffin, 48, also is a member of his newly-formed group The Sensation Shape Shifters.  The Grammy-winning country-folk artist also has released six studio albums as a solo artist since 1996.
