Star-Studded Special Featuring Neil Young's Bridge School Concert Highlights Coming to PBS

Courtesy of Jay BlakesbergA new PBS special featuring performances from the annual benefit concerts Neil Young and his wife, Pegi, organize for the Bridge School is slated to premiere next month.  Among the musical luminaries appearing in Pegi & Neil Young's Concert for the Bridge School are Paul McCartney, Simon & Garfunkel, Brian Wilson, James Taylor, Bruce Springsteen, David Bowie, Tom Petty and Young himself.

The program includes highlights from a DVD set released last year that celebrated the 25th anniversary of the concerts.  The all-acoustic shows take place each October at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California.  The Bridge School, which Pegi Young co-founded in 1986, aids children with physical impairments and severe communication difficulties.

The special will air on PBS stations starting August 11; check local listings to find out air ***** in your area.
