EricBurdon.comFounding Animals frontman Eric Burdon is pushing back the release of his upcoming album until early next year and postponing his scheduled tour dates to undergo back surgery.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer had planned to release 'Til Your River Runs Dry -- his first studio set since Soul of a Man in 2006 -- on September 18. But this week Burdon's management announced the postponement saying that while the singer's upcoming back operation is considered routine, post-surgery rehabilitation can take up to six months.
However, Burdon has one project that will see the light of day before the end of 2012 -- an EP he recorded earlier this year with Cincinnati garage-rock band The Greenhornes. That EP will be released on November 30.
