The Zombies Launch US Tour on Friday in Florida

TheZombies.netThe Zombies return to the U.S. this week for a 10-date summer tour.  The trek kicks off Friday night at the Largo Cultural Center in Largo, Florida, and is scheduled through an August 9 show at the Howard Theatre, in Washington, D.C.

The outing includes a two-night stand, August 5-6, at New York City's Highline Ballroom.  Opening for The Zombies at both shows are fellow '60s legends The Left Banke, who scored a top-five hit in 1966 with the classic "Walk Away Renee."

The Zombies' current lineup features founding singer Colin Blunstone and keyboardist Rod Argent, as well as ex-Kinks/Argent bassist Jim Rodford.  The band continues to support their 2011 studio album, Breathe In, Breathe Out.
