Ex-Yes Frontman Jon Anderson Releases London Olympics Tribute Tune

Glass Onyon PRFounding Yes singer Jon Anderson has released a new song as a tribute to the 2012 London Olympic Games.  "Race to the End" features original lyrics by Anderson set to the music of Vangelis' famous theme to the 1981 film Chariots of Fire.  Anderson has a long history with the New Age composer, having recorded several albums with him under the moniker Jon and Vangelis over the years.

Meanwhile, Anderson will be in London during the Olympics to play a special one-off concert at the Sadler's Wells Theatre.  On August 8, he will perform with popular Slovakian singer Miro Zbirka and the Slovak Symphonic Orchestra.

In an online message about the show, Anderson says, "We will be performing some classic songs I wrote with Yes and Vangelis, plus some new songs in a concert for 'Earth and Peace at the 2012 Olympic Games.'"

Anderson also has plans to tour Uruguay and Brazil in September.  Check out all of his confirmed concerts at JonAnderson.com.
