Peter Frampton Suffers Whiplash Following Car Accident

Facebook.com/PeterFramptonPeter Frampton is nursing an aching back and neck after he was involved in a car accident in Southern California Tuesday. Frampton tweeted to his followers, "Texting woman driver just ran into back of me while I was stationary in traffic 101 freeway. Can u say whiplash?" The guitarist great then pleaded, "People put the phones down!"

The 62-year-old Frampton later added, "Back and neck not good. Going to ER after my flight today." The twitter stream also featured a message from guitar legend Duane Eddy, who wishes his friend well.

It seems Frampton found some humor in the incident. A final post, accompanied by a picture of a bear, reads, “I'm, 'Grinning and Bearing' the tour already and it hasn't even started yet! Ouch!! Ha ha ha ha .”

Frampton has lined up a handful of U.S. tour dates this summer. Here are all of his confirmed shows, according to Frampton.com:
