Bruce Springsteen Plays His Longest Concert Ever to Close European Tour

Photo: Jo LopezBruce Springsteen is famous for delivering marathon concerts with The E Street Band, but you'd think that, at 62, perhaps the Boss might be taking it a little easier on tour these days.  Nothing could be further from the truth, as Springsteen played his longest-ever documented show on Tuesday in Helsinki, Finland -- a whopping four hours and six minutes.  Not included in that time was a five-song acoustic set Springsteen played for the lucky fans who arrived early to the show.

The main show featured 33 songs, according to the Backstreets.com fan site, a set Springsteen reportedly built with help from request cards he gathered from concertgoers.  For the evening's finale, the Boss brought out his longtime manager, Jon Landau, to contribute some guitar licks during a rendition of the Isley Brothers/Beatles hit "Twist and Shout."

The performance brought to a close the European leg of Bruce's Wrecking Ball Tour.  Next up for Bruce and company is a late-summer North American trek that get under way August 14 at Boston's Fenway Park.
