Facebook.com/CherCher’s first album in 11 years will be released around Christmas, with a single coming out in either September or October, depending on which Cher tweet is accurate.
Cher tweeted on Wednesday, “Finished Song!I LOVE IT! Cant tell names of songs cause Record CO. gave Strict ORDERS ! THINK 1st Single drops Oct. then cd near Xmas.”
The singer also revealed she’s working with Timbaland on the new record, tweeting on Thursday, "Doing Timbaland's song 2nite,its GREAT,but High!"
As fans know, the upcoming album will contain two songs written by Pink and a duet with Lady Gaga.
Last month, Cher had tweeted that the first single would be out September 4, but it wouldn't be the much-anticipated Gaga duet. She tweeted, “Duet w/Gaga is Great! Think its 2nd single! 1st 1 is set 4 sept. Its my Fave!”
While the exact release date of the single seems to be up in the air, one thing is for sure -- the new album will be Cher’s 26th studio album and her first since Living Proof in 2001.
