The Doors' Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger Hitting the Road Together Next Month

RayandRobby.comDoors keyboardist Ray Manzarek and guitarist Robby Krieger are gearing up to tour together again in the early fall. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers and their group will play seven shows in late September and early October, nearly all of them in the northeastern U.S.

Manzarek also has a number of upcoming concerts scheduled with another frequent collaborator, blues guitarist Roy Rogers. The two musicians, who played a few gigs together earlier this month, have a couple more lined up later in August, as well as additional shows in October, November and January.

As previously reported, Manzarek and Krieger have separate performances scheduled for this Friday as part of Los Angeles' 2012 Sunset Strip Music Festival. Manzarek will be playing with the veteran L.A. punk group X at the Roxy, while Krieger will perform alongside Black Crowes guitarist Rich Robinson at The Viper Room.
