Lynyrd Skynyrd's Republican Convention Performance to Benefit Military Heroes Charity

Photo: Clay Patrick McBrideNew information has been revealed about Lynyrd Skynyrd's August 26 concert held in conjunction with the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Florida.  The show, dubbed Southern Tribute IV Honoring America's Heroes, is being presented by the Citizens Helping Heroes organization, which raises money to support wounded U.S. military members and their families.

Skynyrd's set will take place at The American Action Network Pavilion at Liberty Plaza in Tampa, and will kick off a four-day series of musical events.

In related news, Skynyrd will be performing this Friday morning as part of the Fox & Friends TV show's All American Concert Series.  The Southern rock legends will be playing live between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. ET outside of the Fox News studios in New York City.  The group will be playing some classic tunes, as well as selections from their new studio album, Last of a Dyin' Breed, which will be released on August 21.
