Real World Prod. Ltd/Geffen RecordsPeter Gabriel has pushed back the release of the 25th anniversary reissues of his classic 1986 album, So, from September 18 to October 23.  The remastered So will be available as a single CD, a digital download, a special-edition three-CD package and a "super deluxe" box set.

The box set offers a CD featuring the album's tracks rearranged to reflect Gabriel's intended running order; a CD of demos and outtakes; two audio discs featuring performances from a 1987 concert in Athens, Greece; a DVD with footage from the same Athens show; a DVD documentary on the making of So; a 180-gram vinyl version of the album; a 12-inch vinyl single boasting a few previously unreleased tracks; and a 60-page bound book.

The three-CD package, meanwhile, features the remastered album with the resequenced track list and the Athens concert discs.

As previously reported, Gabriel will head out on a brief North American trek next month with members of the original So touring band during which ***** play the album in its entirety.  The Back to Front tour gets under way September 16 in Quebec City, Canada, and is plotted out through an October 14 concert in Fairfax, Virginia.
