Journey's Neal Schon Declares "I Win" as Girlfriend Michael Salahi's Divorce Is Finalized

PRNewsFoto/LLEWMORC Media & Production AgencyJourney guitarist Neal Schon's girlfriend, reality show star Michaele Salahi, and her estranged husband, Tareq, have officially gone their separate ways.  The Salahis' divorce was finalized Monday in a Virginia circuit court after an almost-yearlong legal battle.

The news of the divorce comes on the heels of the settlement of a $50 million personal-injury lawsuit Tareq Salahi had brought against Schon, his band and their associated entertainment companies.  That suit had alleged that the rocker had schemed to split up the Salahis and subsequently took part in "outrageous & intolerable conduct" to promote his own business interests.

According to the Northern Virginia Daily, the divorce proceedings came to an end after an hour of bickering between lawyers for the two sides with a judge finally entering the divorce decree and an order dismissing the lawsuit.

A joint statement from Schon, Michaele Salahi and Journey declares says that the three parties "are very happy with the final decision of the court and that the judge dismissed the order for the $50 million lawsuit and all claims made against them by Tareq Salahi."

Schon adds, meanwhile, "I was never concerned about the $50 million lawsuit as I knew it was always about their divorce.  It's over.  I win, she's with me."

In the statement, the guitarist also sent an apparent backhanded message to Tareq wishing him "the best with his candidacy."  Salahi announced earlier this year that he would be running for the governorship of Virginia next year.  As for Neal and Michaele, they will celebrate their one-year anniversary as a couple next month.
