Vanguard RecordsThe release of John Fogerty's upcoming collaborative album, Wrote a Song for Everyone, has been pushed back from October 9 to early 2013. A message posted recently on the ex-Creedence Clearwater Revival frontman's official website explains, "There are additional touches being added to the recording, including some new original songs and notable surprises."
As previously reported, Wrote a Song for Everyone will feature Fogerty performing a selection of his famous tunes with a wide variety of other well-known artists. Among the stars who've contributed to the project are Bob Seger, Foo Fighters, Kid Rock, R&B singer Jennifer Hudson, alternative rockers My Morning Jacket and country luminaries Alan Jackson, Brad Paisley, Miranda Lambert and Keith Urban.
In other news, Fogerty is preparing for a Canadian tour next month that's scheduled to run from a September 7 show in St. John's through a September 29 concert in Victoria. He also recently added a pair of fall performances in Arizona -- on October 18 in Tucson and October 19 in Mesa.
