Star-Studded Who Tribute Album Hitting Stores Next Month

Cleopatra RecordsAn impressive cast of artists from a variety of genres, including members of such famous groups as Herman's Hermits, Cream, The Kinks, The Guess Who and Paul Revere & the Raiders, appears on a new album paying homage to The Who.  Who Are You: An All-Star Tribute to The Who will be released on CD on October 2, and features renditions of 16 of the beloved band's famous tunes, including "Baba O'Riley," "My Generation," "Won't Get Fooled Again," "Love Reign O'er Me" and "Behind Blue Eyes."

Among the well-known musicians contributing to the collection are Herman's Hermits singer Peter Noone, Cream drummer Ginger Baker, Kinks guitarist Dave Davies, Guess Who/Bachman-Turner Overdrive member Randy Bachman and original Paul Revere & the Raiders frontman Mark Lindsay.

A number of the tracks boast interesting combinations of artists.  For example, the disc includes a version of "Who Are You" featuring Bachman and country star Gretchen Wilson.  Some of the many other well-known musicians on the collection include Todd Rundgren, longtime Yes keyboardist Rick Wakeman, Vanilla Fudge drummer Carmine Appice, Sweet and Asia/ex-King Crimson singer/bassist John Wetton.
