Watch Part Two of Aerosmith's Web Series on the Making of "Music from Another Dimension!" Now

Columbia RecordsThe second installment of an eight-part video series on the making of Aerosmith's upcoming album, Music from Another Dimension!, has debuted online at Vimeo.com.  The three-minute segment includes footage shot in the summer of 2011 of the band members poring over song ideas at guitarist Joe Perry's Boston-area studio, The Boneyard, and at the group's Vindaloo rehearsal space in Hanover, Massachusetts.

During the clip, drummer Joey Kramer is heard discussing Aerosmith's process for working on the tunes for Music from Another Dimension!

"Working in the conference room together at Vindaloo was where we kind of put songs together, arrangement-wise, and learned them," he explains.  "Instead of everybody being in the studio diddling, making noise by themselves."

Guitarist Brad Whitford adds, "The little conference room allowed us to sit face to face and throw ideas back and forth.  Run through it, make sure we knew the arrangement…It was a really valuable little space to have to kind of culminate all these ideas."

Kramer also talks about how much the group enjoyed collaborating again with producer Jack Douglas, who worked with Aerosmith on their classic early albums.

"I think that the biggest, most important aspect of making this record was one that was reminiscent of Toys [in the Attic], Rocks, Get Your Wings, by virtue of working with Jack," he points out.  "Jack always makes everything fun, and when you have fun doing something it always comes out good."

As Kramer chats about Douglas, bassist Tom Hamilton is seen horsing around suggestively with a power drill behind frontman Steven Tyler's back, before the singer proceeds to give Hamilton a wedgie.

Keep an eye out for episode #3 in the coming days.  Music from Another Dimension! hits stores on November 6.
