In a statement, Alicia says, "Carole King is an inspirational musician who blazed the trail for women in the music industry and I’m honored to have her perform at the Black Ball."
Pop superstar Beyonce also has joined the bill, which includes such previously announced artists as African singer Angélique Kidjo and the female-fronted alt-rock band Alabama Shakes. ****** Goldberg will serve as emcee for the evening, so, as Keys says, "Women will be rocking the house this year."
