Richard E. Aaron/RedfernsGuitarist Nokie Edwards of The Ventures is in a hospital in Sendai, Japan recovering from congestive heart failure.  According to a message from his wife Judy Edwards on  the band's official website, he is resting well.  Edwards was admitted to the hospital a week ago, and Judy says the rumors that he suffered a heart attack are not true.  Edwards uses a pacemaker, and she adds that with the proper  treatment he will be fine.

The Ventures ****** throughout Japan in July, August and September celebrating the 50th anniversary of their first Japanese concert in 1962.
