Photo by Michael Ochs Archives/Getty ImagesGraham Russell and Russell Hitchcock of Air Supply are set to be inducted into the "Ride of Fame" in New York City on October 13. They are being recognized by the Gray Line tour bus company which runs bus tours of the city. In a ribbon cutting ceremony the company will unveil a double-decker tour a bus on which their photo will be displayed.
"This is a great honor for Air Supply, we are extremely proud to be a permanent part of New York City, the crossroads of the world!” says Russell in a press release. Hitchcock comments, "New York is such a wonderful, iconic city that is close to our hearts, and we are very humbled by this honor.”
Past honorees include: Liza Minnelli, Mary Tyler Moore, Donald Trump, ****** Goldberg, Bernadette Peters, Richard Dryfuss, Rachael Ray, Cyndi Lauper, Marc Anthony and New York sports greats Walt "Clyde” Frazier, Joe Namath and Reggie Jackson.
Air Supply will perform two shows that evening at the B.B. King Blues Club in ***** Square.
