Rankin/RollingStones.comA few weeks back, a concert-industry source told Billboard.biz that The Rolling Stones planned to play two concerts each in London and the New York City area in November. Now, guitarist Keith Richards seems to have confirmed the news in an interview with U.K. magazine Q.
"We've got some shows in London, I believe, and in New York, but I really can't talk about any of that at the moment," he told Q over the weekend. "They've put the gag on me on this. You can hint!"
He also informed the Q that the band began rehearsing again about a week ago and intended to keep playing together for several more weeks.
In addition, Richards revealed that the practice sessions were helping The Stones start to gel again as a unit.
"Everybody relies upon their instincts, especially once you start working regularly together again," he explained. "Because it pulls all the bits and pieces together, which when you're not working and playing with the guys, dissipates, obviously."
He added that after "two days of hanging around with the guys again, a certain demon energy takes over and you wonder where it's coming from!"
