Reprise RecordsNext month marks the 35th anniversary of the release of Eric Clapton's Slowhand, and to celebrate the milestone, the guitar legend will issue remastered, expanded versions of classic 1977 album in multiple formats and configurations.
Slowhand featured a variety of enduring tunes, including three songs that continue to be radio staples -- "Lay Down Sally," "Wonderful Tonight" and "*******." The package also offers replica tour programs and a book focusing on the making of the album.
A deluxe, two-CD edition of the remastered Slowhand also will be sold, featuring the expanded, 13-track version of the album and disc containing nine songs from the 1977 Hammersmith Odeon concert.
