SongwritersHallofFame.orgSteve Winwood, The Kinks' Ray Davies and Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks, Christine McVie and Lindsey Buckingham are among the nominees up for induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame next year. Other performing artists also in the running for the honor include Jimmy Buffett, Electric Light Orchestra's Jeff Lynne, Aerosmith's Steven Tyler and Joe Perry, Foreigner's Lou Gramm and Mick Jones, blues legend B.B. King and soul great Bobby Womack.
In the Non-Performer category, nominees for induction include the songwriters who penned such hits as "Chain of Fools," "Downtown," "Secret Agent Man," "Eve of Destruction," "New Kid in Town," "Rock with You," "Don't Pull Your Love," "It Only Takes a Minute" and "One Tin Soldier."
Voting members of the Songwriters Hall of Fame have until December 17 to choose who they think should be inducted and to turn in their ballots. The 2013 Awards Gala, at which songwriters who receive the most votes will be inducted, will take place June 13 in New York City.
