Facebook.com/JourneyJourney had to cancel a show in Lafayette, Louisiana Wednesday night after singer Arnel Pineda became ill. The band issued a statement saying Pineda “is under strict doctor’s orders to rest his voice.”
The band said it had been looking forward to the show, which was a rescheduled date after Hurricane Isaac forced a concert back in August to be postponed.
The veteran rockers said they regret “having to cancel the show...due to Arnel’s illness, but hope to perform in Lafayette the next chance they get.” All tickets will be refunded.
Journey’s current tour resumes October 30 at the new Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
