Aerosmith Records Anthem for New England Patriots

PepsiCoAerosmith is among the latest artists to record an original anthem for their home football team as part of a recently launched Pepsi initiative.  The band hails from Boston, so their song "Legendary Child - Patriots Anthem," obviously is for the New England Patriots.  The tune is actually a reworked version of "Legendary Child," the first single from Aerosmith's upcoming album, Music from Another Dimension!

"This is a program the band and I were excited to get behind as it is a true representation of our allegiance to the New England Patriots and the city of Boston," says frontman Steven Tyler in a statement.

Guitarist Joe Perry add, "There's something about the word 'legendary' and the words 'New England Patriots' that have an amazing ring to them.  We're excited and proud to be part of that."

Other artists who have recorded anthems for their NFL teams include rocker Lenny Kravitz (New York Jets), pop singer Kelly Clarkson (Dallas Cowboys), rap-rocker Kid Rock (Detroit Lions) and hip-hop star Ice Cube (Oakland Raiders).

All the songs are available for free download at PepsiAnthems.com.
