David Livingston/Getty ImagesCher's been working on a new album -- her first since 2001 -- for ages, and the disc still doesn't have a release date. While she's anxious for fans to hear her new music, she isn't thrilled about the fact that one of the songs she's been slaving away on has now leaked online.
The track is called "Woman's World," and according to Cher, it's not the finished version. "I’m upset about the leak," she tweeted. "It's not the end of the world [but]...vocal sounds different...well, there's more, but I'm not going 2 Stress. It's just, it's my first cd in a [gazillion] yrs & I've worked so hard on it."
She continued tweeting, to tell her fans not to worry. "Its drag about WW! [but] Guys don’t sweat it," she wrote. "I have 2 real problems with this leak! 1st I wanted ppl to hear final mix & we haven’t done video!"
Cher also said that her record company has changed the "roll out date" for the album to January, and noted that they had hoped to have all the videos finished and news about her world tour completed to coincide with the album news. But of course, the leak screws things up a bit. "The Best Laid plans of mice & Men,” Cher tweeted philosophically.
When the album is released, it's expected to include a duet with Lady Gaga, and a song written by Pink.
