Eagle Rock EntertainmentThe restored and expanded version of The Doors' Live at the Hollywood Bowl video, retitled Live at the Bowl '68, is now available as a DVD, Blu-ray and digital video. The film captures a classic concert from July 5, 1968, that marked the only time the band played the famed Los Angeles venue.
The Live at the Bowl '68 DVD, Blu-ray and video download offer restored, high-definition visuals and a soundtrack remastered in both stereo and 5.1 surround sound. The expanded film also features three songs from the show -- "*****, I Love You," "The WASP (Texas Radio and the Big Beat)" and "Spanish Caravan" -- that weren't included on the original release. In addition, the video boasts more than an hour of extra footage, including brief documentaries focusing on the concert, a short film about the restoration of the flick and archival TV appearances by the band.
A companion CD featuring audio from the show also has been released, while a high-quality vinyl LP version of the album can be pre-ordered now and is expected to ship around November 9.
