Facebook.com/DionneWarwickDionne Warwick and Bobby Womack were among the winners at this year's Q Awards, handed out annually by Q magazine, one of the U.K.'s most prestigious music publications. The event took place Monday afternoon at London's Grosvenor House Hotel.
Dionne was honored with Q's Classic Song award for her 1964 single "Walk On By," while Womack's 2012 studio effort, The Bravest Man in the Universe, was named Best Album.
In a video interview with Q at the event, Warwick spoke about her long professional relationship with songwriters Burt Bacharach and Hal David, the latter of whom passed away last month at the age of 91.
"We were known in the industry as 'the triangle marriage that worked,'" she said. "[We were] very dear friends. Recently lost my dear friend Hal David but Burt is still around and we're still talking."
Meanwhile, Womack, who recently survived a battle with cancer and pneumonia, told Q that winning the Best Album honor was "the greatest thrill." He added, "I don't have words to explain it. I'm just glad that God allowed me to be here."
