GeffenThis year's World Series between the Detroit Tigers and the San Francisco Giants will be offering a special treat for baseball fans that also love the music of The Who. Thanks to a partnership between Fox Sports and the band's music publisher, Spirit Music, a variety of Who tunes will be heard during the Fox network's coverage of the sporting event, which kicks off tonight at 7:30 p.m. ET.
Among the many songs that will be played during the World Series games are "Baba O'Riley," "Behind Blue Eyes," "Pinball Wizard," "Who Are You" and "Won't Get Fooled Again." Fans will hear not only the original versions of the tunes but new remixes too. In addition to playong on the telecasts themselves, The Who tracks will be played on FoxSports.com and on the network's social media websites.
The Who is getting ready to launch a new North American tour during which the band will play its classic 1973 album, Quadrophenia, in its entirety. The trek kicks off November 1 in Sunrise, Florida.
