Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley Among "Forbes" Magazine's Highest Earning Dead Celebrities

Epic/Legacy RecordingsForbes has released its annual list of the highest-earning dead celebrities, and even after death, Michael Jackson is still hanging out with Elizabeth Taylor.

Taylor tops the 2012 list with an impressive $210 million in earnings, with the King of Pop coming in at #2 on the tally.  Jackson earned $145 million in the past 12 months, thanks to revenues from his stake in the Sony/ATV publishing catalog, his own music, a Cirque du Soleil show bearing his name, and more.

Behind Jackson at #3 on the Forbes list is Elvis Presley, who earned a substantial $55 million.  Bob Marley also made the top five, earning 17 million bucks.  At #6 is John Lennon, who brought in $12 million posthumously.  The tally is based on earnings for one year, starting in October 2011.
