Facebook.com/DonnaSummerDetails have been announced about the 2012 edition of the annual VH1 Divas special, which will feature special ******* to Donna Summer and Whitney Houston, who both passed away earlier this year.  The show, which VH1 will air live from Los Angeles on Sunday, December 16, will celebrate dance music.

"This is going to be one **** of a party!" says VH1 executive Lee Rolontz.  "The world has truly been inspired by dance music and what better way for VH1 to pay tribute than by honoring legends Whitney Houston and Donna Summer through song and dance."

This year's VH1 Divas is making room for a male artist, as former American Idol finalist Adam Lambert will serve as the event's host.  The program's performance lineup features a variety of major young stars, including Miley Cyrus, Jordin Sparks, Demi Lovato, Kelly Rowland and Ciara.

VH1 Divas will again benefit the VH1 Save the Music Foundation, which promotes music-education programs in U.S. public schools.
