RobbyKriegersJazzKitchen.comDoors guitarist Robby Krieger has signed on to play a special charity event on November 18 at The Observatory in Santa Ana, California.  The concert apparently will raise awareness of teenage **** abuse in conjunction with Red for Tyler campaign, which was inspired by Tyler McLeod, an 18-year-old student from Huntington Beach, California, who **** in September from a heroin overdose.  Former Three Dog Night singer Chuck Negron also is among the artists on the bill.

Meanwhile, Krieger has begun lining up a series of fall club dates for his side project Robby Krieger's Jazz Kitchen.  The band, which also features former Frank Zappa sidemen Tommy Mars and Arthur Barrow, has scheduled shows on December 6 in Montreal; December 7 in Somerville, Massachusetts; and December 14 and 15 in New York City.  Additional dates are expected to be confirmed soon.
